Cosmopolitan Letterkenny ( pop.20,000) offers many new challenges to our local Church, and ourselves, but God is continually equipping us with help, to meet some of these challenges as we prayerfully seek to be effective witnesses to the Gospel in this difficult place.
As friendships with non-Christian people are established, our desire is that opportunities will arise to explain our faith in Christ. Practical examples of love, expressions of encouragement and support to individuals, are priorities.
We work hard at getting to know people’s names, while encouraging others to be proactive in welcoming.
Prayer is the most important priority, especially prayer for Christian Healing. God our Father, through Jesus Christ, sends the Healing influence of the Holy Spirit into situations with positive results. For these we thank God and pray for many more.
Ill-health has meant ‘downtime.’ We pray against being sidetracked from fulfilling God’s calling on our lives, as we speak the Truth in love to all.
Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it."(Matt.16:18).
Prayer Requests:
Pray for:
- Masih to obtain Refugee Status.
- A person with an addiction. That they be healed from this addiction and come to faith in Christ.
- A.N. Other, who is reading Christian literature supplied. That in the privacy of their home, the Holy Spirit will speak through the written word, resulting in a soul won for Jesus
- Pray the Healing influence of the Holy Spirit to come in Power upon several people who are really ill.
- Pray for a young lady who has got into bad company in a city situation. Pray for her protection and that she will return home, as the Prodigal did.
- Pray for her parents as they are very anxious. Thank you.
