Irish Mission: Harry Moreland - Cork & Fermoy

My name is Harry Moreland and my work is based in the Cork & Fermoy region in Southern Ireland.

Harry MorelandThe main focus of my work is attempting to reach out into local communities, encouraging people to take an interest in the scriptures and the importance of  having a personal relationship with Christ.

To this end we run a wide range of activities centred around the Word of God and aimed at teaching the Bible and it's relevance to our daily lives. These activities include Adult Bible Studies, Alpha Courses, Teens Clubs, Children's Bible Clubs and Summer Camps.
It is a ministry which has borne fruit in recent years but has taken many years of faithful Christian living to gain peoples' trust.

Our greatest challenge in our work with teenagers is in finding innovative ways to communicate in a contemporary language that they will understand.

By praying on  a regular basis you can be a part of this ministry.

Prayer Requests:

Looking back on 2009 we are thankful for all things. Thankful for the frustrations, disappointments and discouragements which served to test and prove the promises of God, His sustaining grace and enabling power: thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ faithfully proclaimed by the many visiting preachers which served to strengthen, encourage, inspire and challenge us during the vacancy; thankful for every response no matter how small, not least the man who phoned and asked for a Bible in response to Christian calendars being distributed to over 2,000 homes.

Looking forward to 2010 we are prayerfully expectant at the prospect of the beginning of a new ministry and thankful to God for His faithfulness in calling a man of His choosing to serve in Fermoy and Cahir. The challenge we take into 2010 is being, by God's grace, an authentic Christian witness in an ever increasing secular society.
