Home Mission: Arklow - Michael Anderson

WHO ARE WE AND WHERE DID WE COME FROM?

Michael AndersonOur congregation is an ‘extended family’ of Christians from all traditions and backgrounds drawn together by a common desire to love God, to support each other and to serve the community.  We meet for worship every Sunday at 10.00am and at other times during the week in our church or in homes.  The church was formed in 1913 and throughout its history it has been well served by many faithful ministers.  Through God’s blessing the church has grown over the years.  Currently there are 110 people of all ages associated with our church.  Almost half of these are under 18 years of age.  We thank God for all His help in the past and we trust Him to continue to bless us in the future.

OUR PRIORITIES :

Our church life is organised around the following Key Purposes.  This is our raison d’etre.

Worship:               We want to praise God with our lips and honour Him with our lives.

Instruction:          We want to discover more about how God wants us to live by praying, studying and discussing the bible together.

Fellowship:           We want to make newcomers our friends and through all our shared activities build meaningful relationships with each other.

Expression:           We want our faith in Christ to make a difference, so we seek opportunities to proclaim the good news and to compassionately serve others in the community and wider world.

To fulfil these purposes we provide the following activities:
